Okay, I own all the manga (which CLAMP really needs to finish before I start
bawling my eyes out -again-), all the anime, and the movie. First off, the manga
thus far is most definitly my favorite (I'm a really big fan of lots of blood,
angsty bishounen, and just plain angst in general - especially if it's drawn
really pretty). Secondly, I liked the TV series ending better simply for the
fact Subaru didn't die within the first five minutes of watching (though I
really, really wanted to see Sakurazukamori Subaru >__<). However, I would
have preferred for Fuuma to die instead of Kamui, just 'cause I like Kamui
better. Anyway, I really like all three because they all made me cry (many, many
times). ^___^
Okay, this is what I honestly think about the couples in Naruto. The only
couples I support and like are: Naruto x Sasuke and Itachi x Sasuke. And please
don't go "ew, incest" on me, I have a reason for it. In both the manga
and the anime it is clearly shown that Naruto and Sasuke care about each other.
Sasuke is Naruto's closest friend, just as Naruto is Sasuke's closest friend.
The significance of their friendship is something to take into great
concideration. The Kyuubi first emerged from Naruto when he thought that Haku
had killed Sasuke. The Kyuubi emerging to such an extent at the loss of Sasuke
is evidence that Naruto is emotionally connected to Sasuke (especially as that
was not the only time the Kyuubi emerged when Naruto thought Sasuke might be
'lost to him'). Sasuke proves just how much he cares for Naruto in the fact that
he would sacrifice his life for Naruto, as in with the fight against Haku. This
is very, very important. Why would he give up his life when his very reason for
living was to kill his brother? Also, the very fact that Sasuke did not kill
Naruto after they fought even though he knew that was the only was to gain the
Mangekyou Sharingan clearly shows he is not willing to completely sever the ties
between them, even at the loss of power. Thus, my support of Naruto x Sasuke. As
for my support of Itachi x Sasuke....*sighs* I believe Sasuke's main motivation
behind his desire to kill Itachi is not for the murder of the clan (though that
is a part of it) but for the betrayal he felt from Itachi not being the person
he thought he was. Sasuke really, really liked Itachi when he was a child, so
when it turned out that his brother wasn't who he thought he was, he felt like
he'd been lied to. So it's obvious he really, really cared about Itachi, and I
don't believe that love for a person can completely dissapear from a person's
heart no matter how much rage they feel. As for Itachi, he must feel something
for Sasuke concidering he was the only one left alive. As for what that
something is, I'm not quite sure, but I do know that Itachi showed at least some
affection toward Sasuke before the massacre. And as for the slaughter of the
clan, it is not exactly known why Itachi killed them. The manga thus far hasn't
given really any reasons behind his actions save one. However, the reason that
is given still isn't very clear. So, Itachi might have hade a valid reason for
killing the clan. And, as for the Sasuke x Sakura pairing, I'm afraid I really
don't find much support for it. Obviously Sakura likes Sasuke, but the feelings
are equally obviously not returned. I mean, sure, he does care for her on some
level (afterall, he was going to kill the Oto-nin who beat her up) but Sakura is
not the person closest to his heart.
I would, without a doubt, want to be Itachi. Has anybody read chapter 259 in the
manga? The genjutsu he used on Naruto was totally amazing (if not really, really
creepy). Also, Itachi is uber pretty! ^_^ Although, if I couldn't be Itachi, I
would want to either be Tsunade because her strength is totally awesome!
Usually I don't try to learn Japanese words from watching anime, even though I
do pick up on phrases and words if they are repeated often enough. What I try to
do is learn different Japanese words on my own and then try to identify them
when I'm watching anime. Like, I'll put the subtitles on but mute it and then
try to guess the words their saying. Then I'll take off the mute and listen to
the part I just guessed about. It's really fun when you get it right! I also try
to pick up on different sentence patterns, though that can be really difficult.
I'm Toudou, which is kinda cool in that I absolutely love Toudou....and now I really want to watch Gluhen again.... ::sighs::
